On August 23, 2024, at approximately 1:00 pm, Stonewall RCMP received a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 7 and Road 70 N, located approximately six kilometres south of Stony Mountain.
The investigation has determined that a motorcycle, travelling northbound on Highway 7, collided with a westbound vehicle as it was crossing the highway.
The 44-year-old motorcycle driver, from Teulon, was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The 75-year-old female driver, from Winnipeg, was not injured.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.
Stonewall RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
