Lyndon McIvor was last seen in the early morning of August 26, 2023, after a night out with friends.

When friends and family couldn't get a hold of him they called police and a search for him began.

His remains were found by community search and rescue on August 31, 2023, in a forested area on Lake Manitoba First Nation. Investigators believe his body was dumped in this location and there are more individuals that were involved in his death.

"We know there are people out there that have crucial information on this investigation." Said Sergeant James Demidiuk of Major Crime Services. "We need those people to come forward and speak to police so everyone involved in this homicide can be held accountable."

"When we found out that Lyndon was gone, our hearts were torn and broken," says his mother, Cheryl Maytwayashing. "Lyndon was a son, brother, friend and father to two sons who were his pride and joy. We know there are people that have information on his death and we are asking that you do the right thing and tell police what you know."

Anyone with information is asked to Major Crime Services Tip line at 431-489-8110, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
