PEI RCMP Ask for Public’s Help with Suspicious Fire in Souris Area

PEI RCMP are asking the public for any information they may have regarding a fire at a cottage on MacPhee Avenue that happened early Monday morning, July 29th, 2024.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 Souris RCMP responded to a call concerning a fire at a cottage property. Souris Fire Department and Eastern Kings Fire Department also responded to the call. While working to extinguish the fire, police found indications the fire may have been deliberately set. As a result, an RCMP Identification Team, along with RCMP Dog Services arrived on scene to assist in the investigation. The PEI Fire Marshall was also involved.
