St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit investigation leads to an arrest

In the Fall of 2022, the St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit, with the assistance of the St. Albert Crime Reduction Unit, started a Methamphetamine and Fentanyl trafficking investigation. On Nov. 4, 2022, the drug investigation led to the arrest of a 42-year-old individual, a resident of St. Albert.

The 42-year-old individual was charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl

The 42-year-old individual was also wanted on the following outstanding warrants:

  • Canada Wide Parole Warrant
  • Trafficking Methamphetamine X 2
  • Possession of Property obtained by Crime

As a result of the drug arrest, the outstanding warrants were executed. The 42-year-old individual was remanded in custody and will appear in St. Albert provincial court on Jan. 9, 2023.
