Shelburne RCMP arrest man for firearms offences

Shelburne RCMP has arrested a man for firearms offences after an incident in Jordan Branch.

On April 5, 2023, at approximately 3 a.m., Shelburne RCMP responded to report of a possible shooting at a home on Jordan Branch Rd. in Jordan Branch. RCMP officers arrived on scene and safely arrested a 35-year-old man. During the investigation, RCMP officers located and seized, a handgun, ammunition, suspected cocaine and unstamped cigarettes.

RCMP officers did not locate any evidence that support that a shooting had occurred, nor were there any reports of injuries.

The man was later released on conditions and will face firearms and excise related charges. He will appear in court at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing.
