RCMP Traffic Services Central seizes vehicles from two chronic traffic violators

On January 31, 2023, RCMP Traffic Services Central stopped and seized the vehicles of two drivers, both of whom have been ticketed in the recent past for numerous traffic violations.

Shortly after 1:00 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in Glenwood. The driver, a 52-year-old man, was driving while suspended and without insurance or registration. On January 13, 2023, he was stopped and ticketed for the same offences in a different vehicle, which was impounded at that time.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in Gander having expired registration. The unlicensed driver, a 48-year-old man, was also operating without insurance and owed more than $12,000.00 in fines. Additionally, he had multiple warrants for his arrest. The man was taken into police custody, attended court and was released.
