Moncton, New Brunswick

News release

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's help following a hit and run involving a pedestrian in Moncton, N.B.

On February 16, 2023, at approximately 11:15 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of an individual who had been struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Connaught Avenue and the on-ramp to Highway 15. The vehicle then left the scene. The pedestrian was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Police have reason to believe that a woman, who was wearing a large white jacket and glasses, driving a dark coloured SUV may have witnessed the incident, and are hoping to speak with her.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.

An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist also attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
