Last night East Prince RCMP arrested a 46-year-old Freetown man after a threats incident involving a firearm. Police located the male and safely took him into custody.

On May 2, 2023, at 22:54, East Prince RCMP responded to a threats incident involving a firearm at a residence. Police quickly located the 46-year-old male and safely arrested him shortly after arriving in the area. The man will be in Summerside Court later today to face threats, firearms and impaired driving charges. No one was injured in this incident, and a shotgun was seized by police.

East Prince RCMP was assisted by Kensington Police, Summerside Police, the RCMP Police Dog Service and the RCMP Emergency Medical Response Team.
