Pictou County District RCMP investigating post office break-ins

Pictou County District RCMP is investigating after a break-in to a post office in Salt Springs.

On January 17, 2023, at approximately 8:10 a.m., Pictou County District RCMP responded to a report of a break-in at a post office on Hwy. 4 in Salt Springs. RCMP officers learned that the post office had been broken into overnight and mail, a parcel, stamps, keys and vehicle roof top Canada Post sign were stolen.

Canada Post doesn't deliver to community mailboxes after regular business hours. If you see a vehicle bearing a Canada Post sign at a community mailbox at an unusual time of day, please report it immediately.
