Meteghan RCMP is investigating shots fired into a home.

On May 11, at approximately 7:25 a.m., Meteghan RCMP responded to a complaint of shots fired into a home on Hwy. 1 in Church Point.

Officers learned that the occupant of the home heard a window break at about 1:13 a.m. that morning and then checked the window and damage at 7:20 a.m. just before calling police. The damage is consistent with shots being fired at the home from outside. No one was injured in the incident.

At this time, investigators do not believe the incident occurred at random.

The investigation is ongoing with assistance of the RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
