Lloydminster Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with the assistance of Lloydminster General Investigations Section (GIS), Lloydminster Police Dog Unit (PDS), Eastern Alberta CRU, Vermilion Traffic Unit, RCMP Air Services, North Battleford Crime Reduction Team and Lloydminster Bylaw Enforcement, conducted a four-day operation targeting gangs, drugs and repeat offenders.

On July, 18, 2023, Lloydminster CRU lead a four-day multiple unit operation where over 30 persons were arrested, 65 warrants executed and 29 new charges laid. Search warrants were executed on a residential property, and two vehicles. Additionally, a stolen vehicle was recovered, and a total of 135 tickets were issued.

On July, 19, 2023, RCMP conducted a traffic stop which led to seizure of:

  • 120 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 12.6 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Canadian currency

The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old individual, a resident of Waseca, Sask., was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x2
  • Possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking under $5,000

The individual was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. The individual is scheduled to appear at the Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on July, 27, 2023.

On July 19, 2023, RCMP conducted a traffic stop which led to the seizure of:

  • Assorted drug paraphilia
  • Unmarked tobacco
  • Canadian currency

The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year-old individual, a resident of Lloydminster, was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of unmarked tobacco
  • Possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking under $5000

The individual was released and is scheduled to appear at the Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on Aug., 21, 2023. 2023.


On July, 20, 2023, RCMP located a male at a rural property just north east of Lloydminster. The male was wanted on warrants for multiple violent offences. During the execution of arrest, the individual attempted to flee in a vehicle, but RCMP were able to contain the vehicle and arrest the individual without incident.

A search of the vehicle recovered:

  • 30.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • Canadian currency

A 40-year-old individual, a resident of Lloydminster, was charged with the with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking under $5,000
  • Flight from peace officer

The vehicle passenger, a 33-year-old individual, a resident of Lloydminster, was charged with the with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking under $5,000

Both the 40-year-old and 33-year-old individuals were brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. Both are scheduled to appear at the Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on July, 27, 2023.

On July, 21, 2023, RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence near 47 Ave and 39 street in Lloydminster. During the search of the residence, RCMP located:

  • 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • 26 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • $220.00 in Canadian currency
  • Bolt action rifle

A 52-year-old, 32-year-old and a 37-year-old individual, all residents of Lloydminster were charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking suspected fentanyl

Additionally, the 37-year-old individual was charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking suspected methamphetamine

The 52-year-old individual, was also charged with the with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking suspected fentanyl
  • Careless storage of a firearm

The 52-year-old and 32-year-old individuals were released from custody and have their next Court appearance on Aug. 28, 2023, at the Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster. The 37-year-old individual was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. The 37-year-old individual is scheduled to appear at the Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on July, 27, 2023.
