RCMP Major Crime and Prince District RCMP are investigating the discovery of human remains located on the beach in West Point
On March 21 at approximately 2:45p.m., West Prince RCMP responded to a report that human remains had been found on a beach at West Point. A witness had been walking on the beach when they made the discovery.
PEI RCMP are working with the Coroner's office on this investigation. An autopsy has been ordered to positively identify the remains, and to confirm the cause of death. The RCMP Major Crime Unit is leading this investigating and the investigation is ongoing.
