Human remains that were found near Skinners Pond, PEI, have now been positively identified as a missing 15-year-old boy from New Brunswick.

On September 29, 2022, at approximately 11:30 a.m., members of the Prince District RCMP responded to a report that human remains had been found in the water near Skinners Pond, PEI.

On January 4, 2023, those remains were positively identified as a 15-year-old boy from New Brunswick, who had fallen off a fishing vessel several kilometres off the Pointe-Sapin wharf in N.B., on August 29, 2022.

Our thoughts are with the boy's family and community at this time.
