Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP seizes two vehicles for excessive speed

Two young drivers were stopped for excessive speeding on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) recently by Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP.

This week, on Wednesday evening, police stopped a 19-year-old man traveling on the TCH near Bishops Falls for traveling 159 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone.

On the evening of January 10, 2023, a 20-year-old man was stopped in the same location, traveling 122 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone.

In both cases, the drivers were ticketed for excessive speeding and the vehicles they were operating were seized and impounded.

RCMP NL remains dedicated to road safety and the enforcement of all applicable legislation, including the Highway Traffic Act and Regulations and the Criminal Code of Canada.
