Fort Saskatchewan RCMP arrest local resident for numerous offences

On Dec. 13, 2022, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic and Crime Reduction Units observed a U-Haul driven by a female that was known to be wanted for several property crime offences. A traffic stop was attempted; however, the U-Haul fled. With the assistance of the general investigation section, and general duty members, the vehicle was located parked. The lone female driver was arrested. The female was also charged in relation to two business thefts in Fort Saskatchewan as well as one in Chipman, Alta. where she was driving a stolen vehicle.

A 24-year-old individual, a resident of Fort Saskatchewan, has been charged with:

  • Criminal flight from police
  • Resisting arrest
  • Possession of break – in instruments
  • Possession of credit card data
  • Fail to comply with a release order
  • Theft under $5000 (x3)
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000

Following a hearing before a justice of the peace, the 24-year-old individual was released from custody. Her next Court date is January 12, 2023 in Fort Saskatchewan.
