East Prince RCMP responded to a barn fire on Murray Rd. in Albany.
On January 4 at 5:50 p.m., East Prince RCMP responded to a barn fire on Murray Road in Albany. RCMP officers learned that a hog barn was on fire and fire crews from Borden, Crapaud and Kinkora Fire Departments all responded. The fire was later extinguished and the Prince Edward Island Fire Marshal's Office attended the scene. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
Murray Road was closed temporarily to allow emergency crews to do their work. No one was injured in the fire, however many hogs were lost in the fire.
