Yarmouth Town RCMP charge man with threats after school hold and secures

Yarmouth Town RCMP has charged a man in a threats investigation after two schools were placed on hold and secure.

On November 4, 2022, at approximately 8:25 a.m., Yarmouth Town RCMP received a report of a man who was uttering threats. The threats were made to a person known to him and concerned the NSCC Burridge Campus. As a result, the NSCC Burridge Campus was placed on hold and secure. Meadowfields Community School, which is in close proximity to NSCC Burridge, was also placed on hold and secure, and RCMP officers were present at both schools out of caution.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., RCMP officers located the man at a home in Meteghan Centre. The man was safely arrested and the hold and secures were lifted at both schools.

Jamie Avery D'Entremont, 25, of Meteghan Centre, has been charged with Uttering Threats. D'Entremont was remanded into custody and will appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court today.
