On June 25, 2022, at approximately 5:15 am, Winnipegosis RCMP received a report of a double stabbing in Camperville, Manitoba. When officers arrived, two males were lying on the ground in need of medical attention. A 26-year-old male was transported to Winnipeg hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition. A 21-year-old male was transported to local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Initial investigation has determined that a fight broke out between two groups of people in front of a residence. It appears to have started as a robbery of one female walking on the street. Other individuals became aware of this and arrived at the location, where the fight ensued.

Wilfred James Chartrand (goes by JJ), 18, and Carson Richard, 20, are being sought by police. If you have information, please call Winnipegosis RCMP at 204-656-7003, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
