Whitbourne RCMP is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that happened on Route 100 near Ship Cove.
Yesterday afternoon, police received a report of the crash after the vehicle was discovered by a passerby. Officers attended the scene where a vehicle had departed the road and went over a steep wooded embankment. The lone occupant, a man in his seventies, was located deceased inside. The date and time of the crash are currently unknown.
A Collision Reconstructionist with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is engaged and the investigation is continuing.
