UPDATE: Eskasoni RCMP charge four people with attempted murder

Eskasoni RCMP has charged four people with attempted murder after a stabbing that occurred on Shore Rd. in Eskasoni.

At approximately 4:35 a.m. on October 25, Eskasoni RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on Shore Rd. in Eskasoni. RCMP officers determined that a 19-year-old man had been stabbed and was transported to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. RCMP officers arrested four people throughout the day and all were held in custody overnight.

Andon Francis, 18, of Eskasoni, and three male youths, have all been charged with Attempted Murder. All four will appear in Sydney Provincial Court today.

The investigation is ongoing and being assisted by the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime, Halifax District RCMP Major Crime, Inverness/Richmond County RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and RCMP Police Dog Services.
