Traffic stop conducted in Clarenville leads to seizure of cocaine

Following up on information received from RCMP NL's Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit in St. John's, Clarenville RCMP and the East District General Investigation Section conducted a traffic stop involving two vehicles on November 3, 2022, where a quantity of cocaine was seized and three men were arrested.

Police located and seized 310 grams of cocaine and seized the two vehicles. A 35-year-old man now faces a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and resisting arrest. Two other men, ages 50 and 44, each face a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. The three were released from custody and are set to attend court at later dates.

The investigation is continuing.
