Thompson RCMP investigate serious assaults

On February 2, 2022, at approximately 7:35 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex on Princeton Drive, in Thompson. It was reported that a male had stabbed several people and was in possession of a knife.

RCMP responded immediately, but the male was no longer at the scene. The investigation led officers to check several units in the same apartment complex, and the suspect was located and arrested.

Three adult female victims were located. It was reported that the male forcibly confined the females and used several weapons to assault them over a period of time. A young child was inside the residence when the assaults occurred. The child was not physically injured.

One female was taken to hospital and the other two were treated at the scene by Emergency Medical Services.

Antonio Miles Spence, 24, of Nelson House, has been charged with:

Forcible Confinement x3
Assault with a Weapon x10
Break and Enter
Uttering Threats x5
Assault x3
Abandoning a Child
Administering Noxious substance
Mischief under 5000$
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Resist Arrest

He was remanded into custody.

Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
