Savannah Dueck, 34, is charged with Second Degree Murder in relation to the death of a 69-year-old male on July 29, 2022, in Steinbach, Manitoba. This is the same female officers took into custody at the scene.
Dueck will appear in Winnipeg court on August 2, 2022.
On July 29, 2022, at approximately 3:00 pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a deceased male inside a residence on Whitby Crescent in Steinbach, Manitoba. Officers responded immediately and located the 69-year-old male. His death has been determined to be a homicide.
A 34-year-old female was in the residence when officers arrived. She was arrested for the homicide and remains in police custody. The deceased and the female were known to each other.
RCMP Major Crime Services has taken carriage of the ongoing investigation. RCMP Forensic Identification Section is assisting.
