St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit arrest two individuals

St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit, assisted by ALERT Edmonton, St. Albert RCMP General Duty, and St. Albert RCMP General Investigation Section, conducted an investigation into fentanyl trafficking in December 2021 that led to the arrest of two suspects on March 17, 2022.

A 28-year-old male of Edmonton has been charged with the following:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl X 2
  • Possession of Cocaine and Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of the Proceeds of Crime X 2
  • Failure to Comply with a Release Order X 2

He was remanded to custody and will appear in Edmonton Provincial Court on April 21, 2022.

A 28-year-old male of Edmonton has been charged with the following:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl X 4
  • Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of the Proceeds of Crime X 4

He was released from custody on an Undertaking and will appear in Edmonton Provincial Court on April 27, 2022.

The Investigation lead to the following items being seized:

  • 15.13 grams of fentanyl
  • 4.1 grams of cocaine
  • Counterfeit $100 bill
  • Canadian currency
