On December 22, 2022 at approximately 6:40 p.m., Rosetown RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway #15 near Sovereign, SK.
Investigation determined a semi and an SUV collided. The driver of the SUV, a 21-year-old male from Milden, SK, was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. His family has been notified. The driver of the semi did not report injuries.
Highway #15 was closed for approximately six hours for investigation. Investigation continues with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
Diesel from the semi spilled onto the road and motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area, as the road may still be slippery.
