Update: Antiques located, police confirm criminality not to be a factor

Update- April 12, 2022 - The antiques that were reported stolen have since been located. Police were able to confirm criminality was not a factor and would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The East Prince RCMP is requesting the public's help locating stolen antiques from a storage unit in New Annan, PEI.

The theft is believed to have occurred between January 7 and February 23, 2022. A storage unit on Route 2 in New Annan was broken into and several items, including antiques and family heirlooms, were stolen.

Anyone with information about the theft, or who has seen the stolen items since, is asked to contact the East Prince RCMP at 902-436-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The investigation is ongoing.
