Update RCMP Major Crime Services investigating homicide

During the investigation, it was learnt that a 24-year-old female was also injured in the same incident and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Trevor Wyatt Gabriel Bone, a 29-year-old male, and Dakota Daniel William Bone, a 21-year-old male, both from Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation have been arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.

They have been remanded into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.


At 12:05am on December 30, 2022, Wasagaming RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive male at a residence on Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 54-year-old male from the community.

The death is being investigated by Major Crime Services as a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
