The East Prince RCMP is seeking the public's help locating a stolen welder, following a break, enter and theft in Egmont Bay, PEI.

On April 25, 2022, the East Prince RCMP received a report of a break, enter and theft at a shed outside a residence on Route 126 in Egmont Bay. The theft is believed to have occured on April 24, around 9:15 p.m., when an individual gained entry to the shed on the property and stole a welder. The welder is described as a Powerfist MIG130.

Police are releasing a photo of the individual and are hoping information from the public may help identify the person or provide additional information to help the investigation. The individual appears to be male, between 5 foot 8 inches (173 centimeters) and six foot (183 centimeters) tall, with small to average build.

Anyone who recognizes the person of interest or witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the evening of April 24, 2022, or who may have seen the welder since then is asked to contact the East Prince RCMP at 902-436-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
