Queens District RCMP investigating fatal crash

Queens District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Port Medway Rd. in Port Medway.

On November 23, 2022, at approximately 6:55 p.m., Queens District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Port Medway Rd. in Port Medway. RCMP officers learned that a Toyota Tacoma truck had been travelling on Port Medway Rd. when it left the roadway and, came to rest against a tree.

The driver and sole occupant, a 60-year-old Port Medway man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Port Medway Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Our thoughts are with the victim's family at this difficult time.
