The Prince District Joint Forces Operations (JFO) Drug Unit has arrested a 63-year-old man and seized drugs and money in Summerside, PEI.
On July 25, 2022, members of the Prince District Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Unit stopped a vehicle during a targeted traffic stop on Jennifer Street as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. During a search of the vehicle and the driver, police seized over an ounce of what is believed to be cocaine, and money.
A 63-year-old man from Summerside was arrested at the scene. He was later released and will be scheduled to appear in Summerside Provincial Court at a later date.
Subsequent to the arrest, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Summerside and seized additional quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Prince District JFO Drug Unit is comprised of members from the Prince District RCMP, Summerside Police Services, and Kensington Police Services.
