The Prince District Joint Forces Operations (JFO) Drug Unit has arrested a 24-year-old woman and seized drugs, money and weapons in Summerside, PEI.

On September 16, 2022, members of the Prince District Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Water Street East as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. During the search of the residence, police seized quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine pills, hydromorphone pills, and other prescription pills. Police also seized money, weapons, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

A 24-year-old woman from Summerside was arrested at the scene. She was later released and will be scheduled to appear in Summerside Provincial Court at a later date.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Prince District JFO Drug Unit is comprised of members from the Prince District RCMP, Summerside Police Services, and Kensington Police Services.

The public plays an important role in helping to reduce, prevent and solve crime, including the trafficking of illegal drugs.
