Parkland RCMP arrest and charge three suspects for kidnapping

On March 20, 2021, Parkland RCMP received a report of a victim who was found seriously injured on a rural roadway in Parkland County. Preliminary investigation revealed that the 39-year-old female had been kidnapped from Alexander First Nation prior to being assaulted.

The victim's injuries were life-threatening, and she was transported to the hospital via ambulance. She has since been released and is recovering.

Subsequent to a lengthy investigation, Parkland RCMP have arrested the following persons:

  • A 32-year-old female of Edmonton
  • A 24-year-old male of Edmonton
  • A 28-year-old female of Edmonton

All three suspects are currently in custody and have been jointly charged with the following:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Kidnapping
  • Forcible confinement

The 28 year old female is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on Jan. 12, 2022, in Stony Plain, Alta. The 32-year-old female and the 24-year-old male are scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19, 2022, in Stony Plain.

As these matters are now before the courts, we do not anticipate any further updates.

The victim's name will not be released.
