New-Wes-Valley RCMP is investigating a theft of construction signs from Valleyfield Road, Valleyfield in the Town of New-Wes-Valley.

The theft occurred sometime between early August 8 and August 12, 2022. The signs were reported missing by ANW Construction from a waterline infrastructure construction zone on the main road leading into the town. The signs are easily identifiable with the letters "ANW" stenciled on the rear in black lettering and are typical construction zone signs, including:

  • Construction Ahead
  • Reduced Speeds
  • No Passing
  • Construction Zone Ends

The theft of signs not only represents a financial loss to the company, but also creates a safety issue for both the workers on site and the traveling public.

The investigation is continuing.
