Natuashish RCMP responds to report of impaired driver, man arrested

Following the report of a suspected impaired driver in Natuashish on November 9, 2022, Natuashish RCMP arrested a 39-year-old man for impaired driving.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, the report was received. An officer on patrol located the described vehicle a short time later pulling into a driveway. The driver, who was suspended from driving owing more than $5000.00 in fines, showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested. He was transported to the detachment and provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit. The man's licence was further suspended, he was released from custody and is set to attend court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving.
