Tire tracks in the dirt lead to a pickup truck on its side. One tire is in front of the vehicle, with trees in and a dark sky the background.

A Natuashish woman is facing multiple charges after the vehicle she was driving left the road and landed on its side, with two passengers on board. Both passengers were medi-vacced out of the community for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested the driver, who was uninjured and was suspected to be impaired. She was taken to the RCMP Detachment in Natuashish and provided breath samples that were nearly three times the legal limit. She will face the following charges:

  • Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle,
  • Dangerous driving,
  • Driving without a valid driver's license, and
  • Having open liquor in a vehicle.

RCMP NL continues to fulfill its mandate to protect public safety, enforce the law, and ensure the delivery of priority policing services in Newfoundland and Labrador.
