A 29-year-old man was arrested by Nain RCMP for impaired driving on December 17, 2022.
Shortly after 5:00 a.m. on Friday, while on patrol, officers were notified of a suspected impaired driver on a snowmobile in the community. Police located the described snowmobile, conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the operator, who showed signs of alcohol impairment. The man was arrested and was transported to the detachment where he provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit.
The man was released from custody and is set to attend court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving. His licence was suspended.
