Moose Lake RCMP respond to fatal single-vehicle rollover

On August 31, 2022, at approximately 11:10 am, Moose Lake RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Provincial Road 384, near Crossing Bay, located 25 kilometres north of Moose Lake.

Officers believe the vehicle, being driven by a 29-year-old male from Moose Lake, had lost control and left the roadway where it entered the ditch and rolled. The 26-year-old female passenger, from Moose Lake who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to hospital in critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries.

The 29-year-old male driver, who was wearing his seatbelt, suffered minor physical injuries.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision.

Moose Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
