The Lamèque RCMP is asking for the public's help locating a missing 73-year-old man from the community of Shippagan, N.B.

Joseph Aldonia Chiasson was last seen on August 10, 2022, on JD Gauthier Boulevard in Shippagan. He was reported missing to police on August 17. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing as he has a medical condition that could make him appear disoriented and behave unpredictably.

Joseph Aldonia Chiasson is described as being approximately five foot eleven inches tall (180 centimetres), and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kilograms). He has brown eyes, short grey hair and has a mustache. He wears prescription eyeglasses and has a tattoo in the shape of a heart with an arrow on his left forearm.
