Meteghan RCMP investigating fatal collision

Meteghan RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Patrice Rd. in Concession.

On September 19, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Meteghan RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Patrice Rd. in Concession. RCMP officers learned that a red Mitsubishi Lancer and a grey Ford Focus had been travelling on Patrice Rd. when they collided.

The driver, and sole occupant, of the grey Ford Focus, a 44-year-old Concession man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver, and sole occupant, of the red Mitsubishi Lancer, a 31-year-old Alberta man, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital via ambulance.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Patrice Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Our thoughts are with the victim's family at this difficult time.
