Manitoba RCMP investigating homicide

On January 20, 2022, at 6:00 pm, the Waywayseecappo Detachment of the Manitoba First Nation Police Service received a report of a missing 30-year-old male from the community.

William Ernest Shingoose was last seen at his residence on the evening of January 17. He was last seen wearing red clothing and white shoes.

On January 27, 2022, Manitoba First Nation Police Service officers were contacted to attend to a different residence located in the community on a report of an unresponsive male.

Officers attended to this residence and located William Shingoose who was pronounced deceased on scene. His death is being treated as a homicide.
