Lac La Biche RCMP recover stolen property during search warrant

On June 16, 2022, around 10 a.m., Lac La Biche received a be on the look out report (BOLO) from Bonnyville RCMP in relation to a break and enter at a work site earlier the same morning. Bonnyville RCMP conducted an investigation and learned that some of the stolen items were able to be GPS tracked to a property in Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Alta.

On June 16, 2022, around 6:30 p.m., Lac La Biche RCMP conducted a search warrant on the property. Multiple stolen items were recovered from the property including, three utility trailers, and the items taken from the Bonnyville work site. Also recovered in the search was seven vehicles and one trailer with altered an vehicle identification number (VIN).

A male suspect was arrested in relation to the investigation. The male's name cannot be released at this time as the investigation is still ongoing and charges are pending.

This investigation was a great example of how Alberta RCMP detachments work together to help respond to and reduce crime.
