Two people have died in a house fire in Midgic, N.B., near Sackville.
On August 11, at around 5:41 a.m., the Sackville RCMP Detachment received a report of a structure fire at a home on Goose Lake Road in Midgic. Police officers attended the scene, along with members of the Sackville Fire Department.
Emergency crews recovered the bodies of a 62-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman. Autopsies have been ordered.
The Office of the Fire Marshal, Coroner Services, and RCMP Forensic Identification Section attended the scene. The investigation remains in its initial stages to determine the cause of the fire.
