Harbour Grace RCMP responds to report of impaired driver; ATV operator arrested for impaired driving

A 60-year-old man operating an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was arrested on June 24, 2022, for impaired driving by Harbour Grace RCMP.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Friday, police received the report of a suspected impaired driver who was operating a quad in Victoria. Officers patrolled the area and located the described ATV. The operator showed signs of alcohol impairment, was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the detachment where he provided breath samples more than twice the legal limit.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The man is currently before the court on charges of impaired driving stemming from a traffic stop in July of 2021.
