Harbour Grace RCMP investigates home invasion in Carbonear

Harbour Grace RCMP is investigating a home invasion that took place at a residence in Carbonear last night.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022, police received the report of a home invasion in progress at a residence on Water Street. A woman inside the residence answered a knock to the door and was assaulted by two masked males. While inside the residence, the suspects stole a quantity of prescription medications. The woman was able to escape the residence without injuries and called for help. The suspects had left the scene prior to police arrival.

An extensive search, which included assistance from RCMP Police Dog Services, was conducted; however, the two suspects were not located.

This incident is not believed to be random in nature and the investigation is continuing.
