Gods Lake Narrows RCMP investigate pedestrian hit and run

On January 16, 2022, at approximately 10:40 pm, Gods Lake Narrows RCMP received a report of a pedestrian hit and run that occurred on the Main Road, on Gods Lake Narrows First Nation.

A 28-year-old female was walking on the Main Road near the Band Office, when a vehicle struck her and fled. She was injured and remained there for a period of time before help arrived.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to the nursing station and later transported out of the community for treatment.

RCMP are asking the public for assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved in the collision.

The vehicle involved is described as dark in colour.
