On September 17, 2022, a Parks Canada Warden reported a vehicle travelling at approximately 180 km/hr through Terra Nova National Park. Further reports from the public of a reckless vehicle travelling westbound on the TCH were also received. The Parks Warden was unable to catch up with the vehicle and notified the RCMP. Glovertown RCMP located the vehicle and pulled the driver over travelling 134 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone. The driver was ticketed and their license was suspended. The vehicle was seized and impounded.
