Gander RCMP is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a male who was operating a red Dodge Journey in the area of Morgan Drive on September 22, 2022. The man, who was naked from the waist down, approached a young girl who was walking home from school shortly after 3:00 p.m. and asked her to get into the vehicle. The girl refused to get into the vehicle, ran to a friend's nearby residence and immediately reported the incident.

Video surveillance obtained from the area identified the vehicle as a red Dodge Journey.

The lone male occupant is described as having long dark colored hair that was covering his face.

The investigation is continuing. Parents are encouraged to talk to their children about what to do in a situation such as this.
