Digby RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Hwy. 217 in Roxville.
On December 22, 2022, at approximately 8:55 a.m., Digby RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Hwy. 217 in Roxville. RCMP officers learned that a pickup truck and a panel van were travelling in opposite directions on Hwy. 217 when they collided.
The driver and sole occupant of the panel van, a 57-year-old Bayview man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck, a 35-year-old Roxville man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
A collision reconstructionist is at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 217 is currently closed and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
