Bay Roberts RCMP responds to single-vehicle rollover crash; driver arrested for impaired driving

A 26-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving by Bay Roberts RCMP following a crash early Saturday morning.

Shortly after midnight on June 11, police received the report of an SUV that had left the roadway and rolled over in North River. It was raining heavily at the time of the crash. The injured driver showed signs of alcohol impairment. He was transported to Carbonear General Hospital where he refused to provide blood samples. The man was released from police custody and is set to attend court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving and refusing to provide blood samples.
