Annapolis District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit arrest man for drug offences

The Annapolis District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) has arrested a man for drug offences in Perotte.

On November 13, 2022, as part of an ongoing investigation, Annapolis District RCMP SCEU, with assistance from the "H" Division Synthetic Drugs Unit and Annapolis District RCMP, executed a search warrant at a residence on Perotte Rd. in Perotte. RCMP officers located a 49-year-old man at the residence and he was safely arrested. During the search, RCMP officers located and seized, Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a laptop, a cellular phone and items contaminated with drugs.

The 49-year-old man was later released on conditions and will appear in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court on February 21, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. He will be charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Attempting to Import a Controlled Substance, Attempting to Traffic a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The investigation is continuing.
